Good News! The city has finished working on the street in front of the store. We still have a large whole in front but there is plenty of parking on Main St. You can use North Street or Bird to Main to come to the store.
A trip to the Hickory Stick for quilting fabrics, patterns, and notions includes some history as well. The Hickory Stick is located across from Mark Twain's boyhood home in three pre-Civil War buildings a block from the Mississippi River. The shop has survived several floods, but is now protected by a floodwall. So the only stream you're likely to get caught in now is one formed by serious quilt makers who for over 30 years have headed here for supplies, advice, and inspiration.
